Selaks Founders Limited Edition Chardonnay

The 2024 vintage is being celebrated for its outstanding quality. Favourable weather conditions allowed the Chardonnay grapes to reach perfect ripeness, resulting in a wine with impressive flavour intensity and depth.

The grapes, sourced from vineyards within Bridge Pa Triangle in the Hawke’s Bay region, were carefully picked by hand and harvester. They were immediately pressed and transferred to 100% French oak barrels, with 14% being new oak. The wine stayed in barrel for 10 months, with periodic stirring to enhance character, before undergoing partial malolactic fermentation.

Tasting notes

Aroma Pale gold in colour with enticing aromas of roasted almonds, ripe peach and nectarine and warm buttered toast.

Palate An impressive palate featuring toasty brioche notes intertwined with a blend of stone fruits, with great length on the finish.
